Inland Appraisals Ltd. Inland comprises three fully qualified, AACI designated appraisers, AIC candidate members and support staff.  The AACI members, David Bush, Iain Hyslop and Peter Wallace are fully experienced in most areas of appraisal practice. Each of these appraisers independently carry $2,000,000 per claim in professional Practice Insurance.

David Bush, AACI, P.App.

David Bush, AACI, P.App. has been in practice for 22 years. His background includes experience as a paralegal with a private law firm and later with the Ministry of Attorney General along with two years property acquisition and negotiation experience regarding the Vancouver Skytrain project.


Iain Hyslop, AACI, P.App., RI

Iain Hyslop, AACI, P.App., RI has been an accredited real estate appraiser and consultant in southern BC for 36 years and completed Expropriation Compensation Board, Assessment Appeal Board, and private arbitration hearings.  He has been qualified for expert testimony in the Supreme Court of BC.  Mr. Hyslop is a past president of the Okanagan Chapter, Appraisal Institute of Canada, a former member of the Board of Governors, Real Estate Institute of BC, and is former chair of the Standards Committee and presently a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada review panel.  Qualified as an arbitrator, Mr. Hyslop has experience as an arbitrator in commercial rental matters.


Peter Wallace, B.Sc., MBA, AACI

Peter Wallace, B.Sc., MBA, AACI, P.App. originally joined Inland in 2002 and obtained his AACI designation in 2005.  During a 7-year hiatus from Inland he administered all land issues for the City of Penticton returning to Inland in 2017.  Along with municipal government experience, Mr. Wallace also has a background in oil and gas, as a geophysicist in Calgary in the 1980s; and finance completing the Canadian Securities Course in 1984 and working as a commercial banker/ investment specialist throughout the 1990s.  This diverse background provides a unique perspective and quantitative approach to a wide variety of commercial valuations. 

Keith MacPhail, BA. AIC Candidate

Keith has a diploma in Criminology and a BA degree in pre-Law Studies. He has also studied architectural technologies and is currently completing UBC business courses for his appraisal designation.

Keith began working in Nanaimo with BC Assessment and moved to fee Appraisal in Calgary. There he worked with Linnell Taylor Lipman and T.R. Moore & Associates. He then moved to Commercial Appraisal with The Altus Group before working with the Real Estate Council of Alberta as an investigator. Keith Moved to Penticton in 2005 and is now partner at Inland Appraisers.

Fee structure

Our services are contracted solely of a fee basis. When the scope of an assignment is clearly definable, we will set a fixed fee. Various situations however, may not allow the predetermination of a specific amount. A minimum and maximum fee will be established in such instances.
